Team billing for law firms

How the Firm plan handles multi-seat billing, adding and removing attorneys, and managing invoices across a law firm account.

Updated April 1, 2026Billing & Plans

The CaliforniaCourtIntel Firm plan is built around a seat-based billing model that scales with your firm. Here is how team billing works in practice.

How seats work. Each attorney in your firm who needs access to CaliforniaCourtIntel requires one seat. The Firm plan requires a minimum of 2 seats. Seats are billed at $199/seat/month (or $159/seat/month on annual billing). All seats on the same account share the same billing cycle date and appear on a single monthly invoice.

Who manages billing. The attorney who originally upgraded to the Firm plan is the Billing Admin. The Billing Admin can view invoices, update payment methods, add seats, and remove seats. To assign a co-admin, go to Settings, then Team, then edit any team member and toggle the Admin role on.

Adding attorneys. From Settings, then Team, click Add Members and enter the email addresses of the attorneys you want to add. Each invite triggers an email to the attorney with account setup instructions. New seats are billed immediately at a prorated rate for the remainder of the current billing cycle, then at the full per-seat rate from the next cycle.

Removing attorneys. To remove an attorney's seat, go to Settings, then Team, find the member, and click Remove. Removal takes effect at the end of the current billing cycle — the attorney retains access until then. You will not be charged for the removed seat in the following cycle. Removed attorneys' case history and saved judges are retained in the account archive for 90 days, after which they are deleted.

Consolidated invoicing. All seats appear on a single monthly invoice. Invoices are emailed to the Billing Admin's email address and are also available for download from Settings, then Billing, then Invoice History. Invoices are formatted to clearly show the number of seats, per-seat rate, any prorated charges, and the total.

Purchase orders and custom invoicing. Enterprise clients who require purchase order workflows or net-30 invoicing should contact enterprise@californiacourtintel.com. Standard Firm plan billing is credit card only.
