CaliforniaCourtIntel can notify you about tentative rulings, morning briefings, new judge observations, and profile updates. All notification settings are centralized in one place so you can configure exactly what you want without being overwhelmed.
Accessing notification settings. Go to Settings in the left sidebar and click Notifications. You will see a list of all available notification types grouped by category.
Notification types. There are four main categories: (1) Hearing Alerts — notifications tied to hearings in your case tracker, including tentative ruling posts, day-before reminders, and same-day reminders. (2) Morning Court Brief — the automated pre-hearing briefing email sent at 6 AM on your court days. (3) Saved Judge Updates — alerts when a judge you have saved receives new tentative rulings, new attorney observations, or a profile change. (4) Account Alerts — billing reminders, plan limit warnings, and security notifications.
Delivery channels. Each notification type can be delivered via: Email (all plans), Browser push notifications (requires one-time browser permission — click Allow when prompted), and Slack (Firm and Enterprise plans). To connect Slack, go to Settings, then Integrations, then Slack.
Alert frequency. For saved judge updates, you can choose real-time (send the moment a new ruling is posted), daily digest (one email per day summarizing all new activity), or weekly digest (one email per week). Real-time is recommended for judges you have active hearings before. Digest mode is better for judges you are monitoring long-term.
Do not disturb hours. You can set quiet hours during which no push or email notifications are sent, regardless of activity. Go to Settings, then Notifications, then Quiet Hours and set your start and end times. Urgent alerts (day-of hearing tentative rulings posted after 5 AM) will override quiet hours unless you disable this option.
Firm-wide defaults. Firm admins can set default notification preferences for all team members from the Firm Settings page. Individual attorneys can override firm defaults from their own Settings page.
